Boeing Move to the Lake
Boeing Move to the Lake
Project Concept / Create a work environment that is product centered. The design strategy integrates engineering and manufacturing groups into an environment that is a workplace continuum. The office spaces, located in the "towers" are enclosed by a thin layer of polycarbonate translucent paneling, which allows for a fluid work environment between the engineers and mechanics. The design was infused by the intelligence of Boeing's "Lean" manufacturing initiative. Not only was the design "industrial cool" and completely transformative for work a environment, more impotantly it was deeply transformative for the culture of Boeing's work team.
